Karrion Kross says he wants to fight Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at Wrestlemania 37

Karrion Kross says he wants to fight Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at Wrestlemania 37. The former NXT Champ had to vacate the title due to an injury.

Karrion Kross joined WWE NXT last year. He quickly rose to the top of the mountain beating Keith Lee for the NXT Championship just a little over four months after making his debut. However, he suffered a separated shoulder during the match forcing him to vacate the title; ending his reign at 4 days, the shortest in the title’s history.

Kross eventually returned in December and has gone back to his violent ways. However, he is yet to pursue the title he never lost. Finn Balor, the current NXT Champion, empathised with Kross, having suffered the same fate as him with the Universal Championship before adding that he was open to fighting him for the title at either TakeOver or Wrestlemania.

“For me personally, if I could defend the title one night on TakeOver and the next night on WrestleMania, that would be a dream scenario. Double defense. I empathize with Karrion Kross and his situation, having to relinquish the title being injured. I feel like he deserves a shot whether it’s at TakeOver or WrestleMania.”

While speaking with Ryan Satin of WWE on Fox, Kross revealed that he was ‘more than happy’ to face Balor for the title at the Raymond James Stadium. He claimed that there was a demand for the match and implored the WWE to listen to the fans.

“People have been creating these pictures where they post the both of us with the WrestleMania background for weeks now. I hope the company is listening to that because there seems to be an interest and a demand for that.”

“I hope fans get what they’re looking for because I’d be more than happy to step up on The Grandest Stage of Them All and do that.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
