“You talk about toxic fandom – I feel like that kind of started with wrestling,” Corey told Metro. ‘When kayfabe died, it really became a competition of who could find out the best bits backstage. I remember the horrendous f***ing moment of Goldberg-Lesnar I, when they were both leaving the company.

‘People knew about it months in advance – why they didn’t change the card, I’ll never fucking know. But that was the most painful five minutes of my life. Sitting there going, “Nobody enjoys this, all the fans are just f*ing booing the st out of these guys”. It completely took it away!’

‘That was the first real hint to me that there was something going on. People were trying too hard to know what was going on,’ he said. ‘Whether it was the pretence of it or just that selfish notion of being able to say, “Well I knew all along”. ‘Those people ruin so many f*ing good things, I just wish they would shut the fk up. I swear to God, it’s awful!’

Corey then urged the fans to enjoy the product while it was still on before moving on to Star Wars fans.

‘Just be lucky this is on in the first place. What are you going to do when this st goes away?” He asked. “Oh I knew it was gonna go” – man shove that st up your f*ing ass. ‘It’s the same thing that happened with Star Wars. Star Wars is a perfect example of people s****ing on a product that didn’t need to be st on.

‘So what, nothing’s going to be the Original Trilogy – none of it’s going to be the fing prequels either! Is Solo a perfect movie? No. But it’s not garbage. ‘The way people piled on that fing movie is embarrassing. They should f***ing ashamed of themselves!’

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
