“We really want to go for those titles.”: Bella Twins tease WWE return and Women’s Tag Team Title run before calling it a day for good.

The Bella Twins announced their retirement from wrestling last year in March. However, a little over a year and half away, the Twins have hinted at a return to the company with the Women’s Tag Team Titles being the main source of motivation for them.

The Bella Twins appeared on on Access Hollywood  this week to promote the new season of Total Bellas. Much of the conversation geared around their pregnancy and recent childbirth. Near the end, the twins were asked if they were done for good in the company, to which Brie hinted at one last run.

“See, this is what’s hard for Nikki and I,” Brie answered. “When we left, all of a sudden the WWE Women’s Tag Titles came and we’re like, ‘Wait a sec, that’s for the Bella twins. We’ve been dying to have tag titles.’ And so, her and I feel like we have one more run in us, and really want to go for those tag titles.”

The WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles were introduced last year at Elimination Chamber in February. A total of 5 teams have since held the championships. The current holders are Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

The WWE previously asked on their twitter if there was any team that could stop the dominating duo, to which the Bella Twins responded, adding more fuel to the fire.

‘Deserve’ is a word that wrestlers do not like. But if there has ever been a pair that deserved a championship, it would be the Bella Twins and the Tag titles for being a successful and entertaining tag team for several years despite there being no reward for it for the longest time.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all.
