WWE NXT Spoilers: What could William Regal’s announcement next week be about? The NXT General Manager promised to change the core of NXT’s women’s division.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax and defended their Women’s tag team championships as advertised on this week’s episode of WWE NXT. They took on the innaugral Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic winners Dakota Kai and Raquel Gomzalez.

It seemed like the Women’s tag titles would be in possision of an NXT team for the first time since its creation. However, a controversial finish ensured that the titles remained with Jax and Baszler in the main roster. An infuriated William Regal later appeared on the show promising a ground breaking on next week’s episode.

What could William Regal’s announcement next week be about?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE plan to introduce NXT’s own Women’s tag team championships. According to the report, Regal’s big announcement for next week will see the women at NXT have their own tag titles.

The fact that they recently hosted and concluded the first ever Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is proof that the Gold and Black brand has the depth to have their own titles. Considering the calibre of women they possess at the moment, it will also give them something to do when they aren’t involved in the Women’s Championship feud.
