Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was paid $1 MILLION for every social media post promoting his own movie

According to a report from Variety, The Rock had a hefty price in his package to promote his 2021 film Red Notice. The Brahma Bull made $1 million every time he put out a post on his Instagram and Twitter promoting the Netflix movie.

Apart from the money he made from social media alone, he also made $22 Million for the movie. Apart from this, he also made $1 million for every $25 million Red Notice earned in worldwide box office dollars!

The Rock is estimated to have made $50 million in total, with some speculating that the actual number may be even higher, given his additional role as a primary producer.

Despite negative reviews for the movie, Netflix claims that it became the most watched movie on their platform just four weeks after its release.

There are currently two sequels planned. Both of them will be filmed back to back and feature the same main cast of Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot.

Will The Rock be there at WrestleMania 39?

Fans have expected a showdown between Roman Reigns and The Rock since the former dubbed himself The Tribal Chief. Two WrestleMania have since taken place without the Brahma Bull making his way into the squared circle. Rumors are rife that this may be the year, the mega fight finally happens. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Fans believe that The Rock may return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble and win it to earn the right to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Whatever, the plans are, however, will not be impacted by Vince McMahon’s return to power.

On the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported the following:

“The basic thing is that Dwayne Johnson is going to do what he has the time to do. If he has time, the Vince stuff is going to have no impact whatsoever. He’s going to do it if he feels he can do it well and he has time to train for it.”

The WrestleMania main event scenario will become clearer come the Royal Rumble, until then, however, all we can do is wait.
