Fan sued WWE

Before his controversial retirement earlier this year in July, ex-WWE CEO Vince McMahon had let go of many top names. In fact, under the former chairman, some stars were getting released and some were asking for that willingly. However, since Triple H has taken over, tides have turned in the opposite direction. Not only is he bringing back fan-favorite superstars, but many who left WWE on their own, are willing to make a return. Recently, another former WWE superstar hinted that she will be making a WWE return in the future.

Recently, Lana, who now goes by the name CJ Perry, had an interesting chat with Mike Wennmacher from 92.7 WMAY. The former star opened up about the return of Rusev Day in the future.

Rusev Day was one of the most loved WWE factions during the mid-2010s. However, Vince McMahon shut down the group without any reason in 2018 and in 2020, released Rusev. Moreover, last year in July, his wife Lana was also let go from the company.

Former WWE Superstar Lana is confident about Rusey Day making a return at some point

During her appearance on 92.7 WMAY, Perry was asked whether she would ever return to WWE. The former superstar not only talked about her WWE return but also about her husband Miro.

Speaking on the show, Perry stated that Miro is up against a couple of gods now, but Rusev Day will never die. She noted how kids like to sing it, and asserted that it will return to WWE at some point. Perry further went on to claim that no matter with what name or gimmick her husband will return, it will be iconic.

Not just that, CJ Perry also made a huge statement regarding wrestlers and their connection with WWE. The former superstar stated that no matter which company or promotion you work for, at some point everyone makes a WWE return.

“Rusev Day will never die… I’m sure it will make a return in WWE at some point… Let’s be honest, we know that everyone always returns back to WWE at some point,” Perry stated.

Well, Perry and Miro were very much liked by the WWE fans when they worked as Rusev Day. In fact, the power couple’s best work in the company was in that group. And if the former WWE superstar thinks they will return at some point, fans won’t complain either.

AEW has featured Miro in only one match in the second half of this year

When Miro made his AEW debut in September 2020, he was seen as a big signing for the company. In fact, Tony Khan even gave him a dominant TNT Title reign. However, in the last six months, the former WWE superstar has wrestled just one match in AEW. The last time Miro performed in the AEW ring was at September’s All Out PPV.

Nevertheless, considering what CJ Perry said, it seems Miro might not be extending his contract with AEW. And by the looks of his current booking, fans should not be surprised he decides to return to WWE in the future.
