Triple H John Cena

John Cena is arguably WWE’s last megastar. There will probably never be another like him again. This, however, may hold true more because of how WWE is run today instead of the capabilities of the talent. Although, that may soon change with the way Triple H is currently handling the programming. Having seen what The Game brings to creative, one can only imagine how he would use Cena as a booker in comparison to the rather monotonous booking by Vince McMahon. However, considering what Triple H’s feelings towards Cena reportedly were during their days as active wrestlers, the Cenation leader was probably better off in Vince’s care.

Former WWE star Rene Dupree recently made the accusation against Triple H that he was overall not a very good person back in the days.  He also called him out for being envious of John Cena. Dupree stated that The Game did not like the then rising star and was actually jealous of him.

Triple H accused of being jealous of John Cena

Speaking on an episode of his Cafe de Rene podcast, the former WWE star talked about John Cena’s early days with the WWE. He claimed that, despite Cena’s insistence that he was on the verge of being fired in his early days, there was no real risk to his job.

In fact, it appeared to him that Vince McMahon had already taken a shining to his future franchise player. Triple H however, did not share the same sentiments as his father-in-law.

“I saw the interaction when I first got there with Cena and Vince. I don’t think he was going… But I know Hunter didn’t like him. Hunter was jealous of him. That’s what it was,” he said.

He also added that while he didn’t like Triple H, he felt cool during the few moments, he was complimented by him. Although, Dupree was quick to let the fans know what his thoughts were on Triple H, lest we forget.

“I thought he was a d*ck. But the few times, and I noticed whenever he’d be complimentary of me, it meant so much. I felt like, ‘wow! It’s so cool.’ But overall, he was a d*ck,” he said.

Triple H names John Cena the greatest Superstar in the history of WWE

John Cena and Triple H have faced each other numerous times in the WWE. Despite what Triple H may have felt when Cena started his career, they have always worked well with each other inside the square circle. In fact, last year, when John Cena completed 20 years with the WWE, The Game hailed him as the greatest ever, through a video posted on Twitter.

He called Cena the perfect example of what it was to be a WWE ambassador and Superstar. Triple H also added that he felt honored to be his friend.
