Sasha Banks signed up with AEW

Mercedes Mone f.k.a Sasha Banks is one of 2022’s most controversial wrestling personalities. After shocking the wrestling world with the infamous walkout in May, it was heavily speculated that The Boss would make an appearance at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 17 after the expiration of her WWE contract. Rumors turned out to be true as The CEO of Women’s wrestling made her groundbreaking debut at Wrestle Kingdom and took out the IWGP Women’s Champion Kairi. After laying waste to the Champion, Mone challenged Kairi to a match at Battle in the Valley the next month in San Jose.

It’s conspicuous that Mone has great things ahead of her. After her official exit from the Stamford-based company, Mone took to Twitter to show gratitude to the WWE authorities and the WWE Universe, ending things on good terms with WWE. Now that we know Mone is linked with NJPW, another report about her supposed debut in AEW has come to light.

Mercedes Mone is now All Elite

Aside from the speculations about her debut in NJPW, fans also spitballed about Mone’s possible AEW debut. Turns out, rumors about her AEW debut were also true.

According to Dazn’s Steven Muehlhausen, Mercedes Mone will indeed reveal herself as Saraya’s mystery partner at AEW Dynamite next week. Saraya and Mercedes will team up against Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

The rumors could not be addressed before because she was still bound to her WWE contract until January 1st, 2023.

It is believed that Mone will do some matches with NJPW while being in contract with AEW. It remains to be seen if The Boss can dethrone Kairi, claim the IWGP Women’s Champion, and become a title holder at AEW.

However, it is important to note that Saraya has already declared Toni Storm as her partner. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and how AEW swerves the fans if Mercedes Mone is indeed Saraya’s partner.

Sasha Banks botches her finisher during her appearance at Wrestle Kingdom

It’s no secret that the former six-time WWE Women’s Champion has been away from the ring for a long time. After walking out in May, she was suspended by WWE indefinitely and hadn’t had the chance to wrestle a match in six months.

After making her history-making entrance at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom, The CEO attacked Kairi in the ring, however, she appeared to be a little rusty as she ended up botching her finisher. Fans on Twitter wasted little time and pointed out the botched move.
