For months, the WWE Universe has been speculating that the reigning and defending Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will meet his real-life cousin The Rock in the ring at WrestleMania 39. The Tribal Chief has been tenacious with his title reign after he unified the Universal and WWE Championships at WrestleMania 38 against Brock Lesnar. Since then, many have tried to capture the coveted titles and have failed. Now it appears that only one man can claim the titles from Reigns, his own flesh, and blood, The Great One.
Tuesday’s episode of The Rock’s TV series ‘Young Rock’ featured a young boy named Joe Anoa’i challenging The Rock to a match while their families watched wrestling on TV.
During the scene, The Rock did a voice-over and revealed that “Joe” in the scene was Roman Reigns. In the scene, the young Reigns, looking for attention, asked someone to “Samoan drop” him.
When nobody responded, Joe commanded attention using his now-famous catchphrase, “Acknowledge Me!”.
When young Joe asked the teenage Rock to wrestle him in the living room, The future People’s Champ responded by saying “The world’s not ready. A match that big can only happen at WrestleMania.”

Will The Rock make his return on the Royal Rumble 2023 PLE?
Earlier, rumors about The Rock returning to win the Royal Rumble made rounds on the internet. While it is not confirmed, fans are still betting on The Brahma Bull to return to the Rumble. Winning the Rumble match should start The Rock’s Road to WrestleMania 39 to face Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship.
According to a report from Ringside News, WWE has yet to make a deal with the Rock regarding his return at Royal Rumble PLE. Moreover, The Rock is involved in many upcoming Hollywood projects. Which means that WWE has to make The Rock a deal that does not hinder his other pursuits.
Regarding rumors of The Rock’s WWE return:
“There are ideas for Rock in Rumble, ideas for Rock not in Rumble, ideas for Rock to show up elsewhere besides the Rumble.”
Right now, “nothing is etched in stone until a deal is reached.” pic.twitter.com/fycwNgTjgJ
