Wrestlemania 39 is still almost three months away, but the speculations of potential appearances have already begun. And looking at the record of WWE, one can expect a few retired superstars to be featured. So, when The Olympic Gold Medalist recently appeared on The A2theK Wrestling Show, he was asked about his chances. The host questioned Kurt Angle whether he will appear at WrestleMania 39, which is scheduled to take place on April 1 & 2, later this year.
Last year, the Wrestling Machine expressed willingness to wear his wrestling boots again but demanded a sum of money. Well, when he appeared on the podcast, the question he came across was an obvious one. Kurt Angle was asked whether fans can expect to see him in action at WrestleMania 39.
Kurt Angle denied his WrestleMania 39 involvement but kept the window open
While speaking on the show, Kurt Angle noted that WrestleMania 39 is too far away. He then mentioned RAW’s 30th anniversary which will take place on January 23, from Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center later this month. The Hall of Famer claimed WWE is planning to feature him on the historic episode. Though The Olympic Gold Medalist did not confirm that he will be there on the show.
Talking about WrestleMania 39, Kurt Angle said something that might interest his millions of fans across the globe. The American Hero claimed he has pitched WWE an idea for the upcoming show of shows. Although he feels WWE will most likely not go with his pitch, there is still a chance. However, as of now, Kurt Angle will not be in action at WrestleMania 39.
Still, the good part is that the Hall of Famer will be attending the show anyway. Plus, he feels WWE might end up using him there as well. He stated:
“Nothing about WrestleMania (39). I did pitch an idea to them (WWE management) about it… but most likely, they’re not going to use it… I’m going to be there anyway. They might as well use me.”
The Olympic Gold Medalist recently celebrated his birthday on WWE TV
Although Kurt Angle is retired and remains mostly away from WWE tv, he did appear last month. On December 9 last year, Angle turned 54, and to celebrate his special day, he made an appearance on the blue brand. In fact, the show ended up with the Hall of Famer celebrating his birthday in an old fashion. It was vintage Kurt Angle bringing in his milk truck and giving Alpha Academy a milk bath.
Nevertheless, Kurt Angle may not be in plans for WrestleMania 39, but WWE can use him if it needs. Who knows, if he has pitched an idea of one more match, fans might see the Wrestling Machine in some in-ring action in a few months.
