Roman Reigns WrestleMania 39

Roman Reigns, who acts as The Head of the Table onscreen, is currently performing that duty both in and outside the WWE ring. Alongside being the company’s top guy, he is also a lock room leader backstage. However, in recent times, Reigns has reportedly had some issues with his fellow superstars. Last month, it was said that he got into a verbal altercation with Kevin Owens for an unplanned spot at Survivor Series WarGames. Now according to Dave Meltzer, Roman Reigns also rejected the idea of working a storyline with a top superstar in WWE.

Roman Reigns’ altercation with Owens happened mainly because the unplanned spot resulted in him injuring his eardrum. To some extent, he was right as a worse injury could have destroyed many of WWE’s major future plans. Though it seems the whole thing has been sorted as both men are rumored to have a match at Royal Rumble 2023.

Roman Reigns refused to work with the returning WWE superstar Bray Wyatt

In his more than a decade-long in-ring career, fans have never heard of Roman Reigns having issues working with any type of talent in WWE. He has been a loyal worker who has done what the management has asked of him.

However, Dave Meltzer claims Roman Reigns shut down the idea of working with Bray Wyatt. During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer, Meltzer noted that whoever works with The Eater of Worlds, rarely comes out looking better. He then discussed the idea of WWE putting Wyatt and Roman Reigns in a storyline. Meltzer seems skeptical about the thought and stated The Tribal Chief wanted nothing to do with Bray Wyatt.

“Everybody who works with Bray Wyatt, very few of them come out looking better. Do they go with him [Bray Wyatt] and Roman? I could see Roman [Reigns] wanting nothing to do with this guy,” He said.

Well, if what Dave Meltzer stated is decoded, it seems The Tribal Chief was offered a storyline with The Eater of Worlds. And going by the record, very few stars are indeed the same after feuding with Bray Wyatt. So if Reigns did refuse, a lot of thinking might have happened before that.

The Bloodline line leader will be wrestling a rare tag team match on SmackDown next week

Since the contract renewal earlier this year, Roman Reigns has rarely wrestled a match on a weekly show. Other than big PPVs, there has been a drought of The Tribal Chief making an appearance. However, the last weekly show of WWE this year seems to be an exception.

During the recent edition of SmackDown Live, it was announced that Roman Reigns will be wrestling a tag team match on December 30. The Tribal Chief alongside his Honorary Uce will face the team of Kevin Owens and John Cena. With Cena and Reigns both set to appear, the 30 December edition of SmackDown looks like a mini pay-per-view.

Nevertheless, even if Roman Reigns has shut down working with Bray Wyatt, that doesn’t they will never work together. Both men are at the top of the WWE ladder and will be head-to-head at some point in the future. Tough as of now, it seems Reigns is happy with his storylines going separately.
