Saraya talks about WWE and AEW

The biggest signing for AEW this year was Saraya, who made her debut at Grand Slam on September 21, earlier this year. For WWE fans, it came in as a shocker as nobody expected the company to let her go. However, having experience working both in companies, the former WWE women’s champion is the right person to know about the locker room feelings. Recently, Saraya shed light on how the WWE locker room felt after knowing about AEW as an alternate.

After purchasing WCW in 2001, WWE ruled the pro wrestling world until AEW came into existence in 2019. After almost two decades, superstars found a legit second option to showcase their capabilities in the ring. In fact, in the last three years, many big names have left WWE willingly and signed with AEW.

Recently, former WWE superstar Paige, who now goes by the name Saraya in AEW, appeared on “Pro Wrestling Bits“. The former women’s champion discussed various key matters including the feelings between WWE and AEW.

Saraya shared how the WWE locker room felt after hearing about AEW

With two big names going on in any domain simultaneously, there will be some animosity among the workers. During the show, Saraya was asked about the reaction of the WWE locker room after knowing about AEW. The current AEW superstar, who worked in WWE back then, went on to give an expected but honest reply.

Saraya claimed nobody from the WWE locker room talked sh*t about AEW. Instead, they were happy that there is one more place to go if the company lets them go. During the show, the Anti-Diva also shed light on the past environment. Saraya revealed that before AEW, they used to get devastated after getting released. Therefore, when an option arrived, everyone took it in a positive manner. He stated:

“When I was backstage in WWE, I didn’t see people talking sh*t about AEW… People were just happy that there’s another place for people to go because when people would get let go in WWE, we’d be so devastated…”

The Anti Diva also shared how her current locker room fellows feels about her past work place

Talking about her time in AEW, Saraya felt the company gives them the freedom to partake in various non-wrestling activities. She then also revealed how the AEW locker room looks at her previous job place.

Saraya claims she hangs out with a lot of AEW girls and she saw nobody “talking crap” about WWE. The Anti Diva went on to state there are no bad talks about anyone anywhere behind the scenes.

Nevertheless, it is good to know whatever banter fans see on social media, has no hard feelings behind it. However, let’s see if the two companies ever open their forbidden doors to each other in the future.
