Bray Wyatt WWE status

Bray Wyatt was always pegged for a bright future in the WWE. However, his initial run left a lot to be desired, despite a run with the WWE Championship back in 2017. His character appeared to be stale. Fans claimed that his skills on the microphone were exceptional yet the promos he cut were all meaningless because he never picked a win. All this changed the moment he introduced the Fiend to the WWE Universe. He became one of the major attractions in the company, so much so that when he was released, fans clamored for him to return. They got what they asked for, at Extreme Rules, last year. However, Wyatt has yet to unleash the Fiend, although, that could change this week ahead of Royal Rumble 2023.

This is the final week of WWE television before we embark on the Royal Rumble. Bray Wyatt is set to face LA Knight at the Premium Live Event in a Lights Out match. This will be his first fight since making his return to the WWE, and fans are still unsure what incarnation of Bray Wyatt will turn up at the event.

The Fiend could appear on WWE TV ahead of Royal Rumble 2023

According to a report from The Wrestling Blog, there are talks about having a staredown between The Fiend and LA Knight this week. However, there is a concern that the fans may interpret this as Bray Wyatt permanently going back to the Fiend Character.

Their interaction may not take place at SmackDown despite being SmackDown competitors, however, and the reason for this may be the return of a certain legendary wrestler who Wyatt was thought to take over from during his first run.

LA Knight set to appear in a legendary segment

According to a report from Xero News, LA Knight will have a legendary segment on RAW is XXX this week. While they did not mention who he would share the segment with, they were not too subtle about it.

The show will be a celebration of RAW’s 30 years. The event has already advertised several Hall of fame figures such as Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan and, well, The Undertaker. This will be his first televised appearance in character since Survivor Series 2020 when he finally retired from the promotion.

There are also reports that Hulk Hogan will open the show and Kurt Angle will guest referee a match.

Apart from the aforementioned names, WWE have also advertised Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
