"Yeh bakhchod hai": Watch Rohit Sharma taunts Kieron Pollard during Chennai ODI

Rohit Sharma taunts Kieron Pollard: The Indian vice-captain was seen joking around with the West Indian captain in Chennai.

During the first ODI of the ongoing West Indies’ tour of India in Chennai, India vice-captain Rohit Sharma was seen joking around with West Indies captain and his Mumbai Indians deputy Kieron Pollard.

A video of both Sharma and Pollard has been doing the rounds on social media platform Twitter. “Yeh bakhchod hai [He talks bullsh*t],” Sharma was heard as saying on the stump mic.

It is worth mentioning that Sharma and Pollard are close friends on the back of representing Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League for numerous years now. Before the start of the series, both Sharma and Pollard celebrated the “Unfriendship Day” in an advertisement by host broadcaster Star Sports.

Having opened the batting with Lokesh Rahul (6), Sharma played well for his 36 (56) before getting out to West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph in the 19th over.

Pollard, who bowled four overs of his medium-pace, conceded 28 runs but picked the vital wicket of India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant. Coming in to bat at No. 5 in the 19th over, Pant ended up scoring his maiden ODI half-century, 71 (69), with the help of seven fours and a six.

Apart from Pant, Shreyas Iyer also scored 70 (88) with the help of five fours and a six to power India to 287/8 in 50 overs. With bowling figures of 7-0-41-2, Keemo Paul was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors.
