Taking off for home. Each of us will remember the World Cup differently. How will Guptill remember it? Running Dhoni out and taking his team to the final or getting running out of the last ball?

Indian selectors await MS Dhoni’s retirement
The most recent update on Dhoni is with respect to his retirement. Going by a recent report in The Times of India, the Indian selectors are awaiting for Dhoni to hang his boots from international cricket.
“We’re surprised that he’s not done it so far. There are youngsters like Rishabh Pant waiting to grab their chances. As we saw in the World Cup, [MS] Dhoni isn’t the same batsman anymore. Despite coming in at No. 6 or 7, he was struggling to force the pace, and it was hurting the team,” a source close to the BCCI was quoted as saying.
Other than expressing the selectors’ surprise on Dhoni’s retirement, the source also revealed that Dhoni is neither a part of selectors’ plan for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 to be held in Australia nor an automatic pick in the Indian team anymore.
“I don’t think he’s in the selectors’ plan for the 2020 T20 World Cup too. He must quit international cricket gracefully. He isn’t an automatic pick any more,” he added.
Talking about Dhoni’s T20I form in the last year, he has scored 130 runs in five matches at an average of 43.33 and a strike rate of 116.07.
