India vs West Indies Head to Head in ODIs: The Sportsrush presents before you the Head to Head statistics for the first ODI.

The first ODI of the ongoing India’s tour of West Indies will be played tomorrow at the Province Stadium in Guyana. The ODI series will be the first time when both teams will be playing ODIs after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 last month.

With India winning the T20I series 3-0 last night, they would want to carry forward the same momentum into 50-over the format now. Despite playing well in ODIs of late, there is no hiding to the fact that India need to address a few issues in their ODI lineup.

As far as the West Indies are concerned, they would be looking to improve their recent record of finishing at No. 9 in the World Cup followed by getting whitewashed by India in the T20I series.

The last time when both these teams met in ODIs was during the World Cup. The 34th match of the league stage saw India registering a comprehensive 125-run victory. After India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat, India posted 268/7 in 50 overs on the back of half-centuries from Kohli (72) and wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni (56*).

In the second innings, an inspired bowling performance from Mohammed Shami (4), Jasprit Bumrah (2) and Yuzvendra Chahal (2) saw West Indies being restricted to 143 in 34.2 overs.
