Twitter slams Rishabh Pant post failure in 2nd T20I vs South Africa in Mohali

Twitter slams Rishabh Pant: Twitter was unhappy with the Indian wicket-keeper batsman’s shot selection in Mohali T20I.

During the second T20I of the ongoing South Africa’s tour of India in Mohali, India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant once again seemed to prefer playing a casual shot to throw away his wicket needlessly.

It all happened on the fourth delivery of the 14th over when Pant hit a rank short-ball straight in to the hands of short fine-leg fielder Tabraiz Shamsi. Having come in to bat at No. 4 in the 12th over, Pant ended up scoring 4 (5).

The match will go down as another failed opportunity for Pant. Being preferred over the in-form Shreyas Iyer at No. 4, Pant isn’t really justifying the team management’s decision.

There is no going into a safe house about the fact that this isn’t the first time that Pant has got out in such a manner. Applying the filter of playing such a shot while chasing a mediocre total alongside captain Virat Kohli, you will still get several results of Pant repeating the same of late.

During the recently concluded tour of West Indies, Pant had become a victim of casual shots in the second and third ODI and the second Test. Citing another disappointing performance, Pant let down his fans on social media platform Twitter.
