Chennai Super Kings Playing 11 today

Chennai Super Kings Playing 11 today: The Sportsrush presents before you CSK’s Predicted Playing 11 for their eighth match of IPL 2019.

The defending champions march on to the Eden Gardens to face the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. Chennai Super Kings are currently comfortable at the top of the table, with only one loss from their 7 games. They are on the back of a close victory against Rajasthan Royals, where last over drama saw the defending champs get over the line.

The last time these two sides met was less than a week ago, where Chennai restricted Kolkata to 108 only, and chased it down with ease.

Nevertheless, it was the batting that was found wanting in the last game against the Royals, as the top-order has not really been firing for the Chennai Super Kings. However, what will favour the visitors is the return to form for their skipper, MS Dhoni.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Playing 11 today

Top-order

The top-order has been a sign of worry for the Super Kings as of late. The bats of Shane Watson and Suresh Raina have not been firing, with the former likely to be replaced by Sam Billings. On the other hand, there will be pressure on Raina to perform, as the senior player of the team.

Faf du Plessis has occupied the other opening position really well, despite his failure in the previous game. Along with him, Ambati Rayudu has been consistent throughout the season, scoring a fifty and building a match-winning partnership with his skipper MS Dhoni.

Middle-order

The middle and lower order saved the day for CSK last game, thanks to fifties from Rayudu and Dhoni and then Jadeja and Santner finishing off the match. The middle-order for CSK will heavily rely on their captain, MS Dhoni, who was man of the match in the previous match.

The experienced Kedhar Jadhav will also have to step up as he has not been consistent enough this season. The job of finishing the game will once again be with Jadeja and Santner, who batted quite well against the Royals.

Bowlers

The bowlers have done quite well in the last two games for CSK, and it is likely that they will retain the same bowling line-up against KKR. Local boys Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur have been decent in the competitionand will be the pace battery for Dhoni.

On the other hand,. the spin attack is likely to consist of Imran Tahir and the two left-armer bowlers in Mitchell Santner and Ravindra Jadeja. Dhoni will also have the option of a sixth bowler, with the off-breaks of Jadhav and Raina.
