Moises Henriques hits peculiar six off Chris Morris: Sixers’ captain played exceedingly well in the super over vs Thunder.

During the 14th match of the ongoing ninth season of the Big Bash League between Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder at the SCG, Sydney Sixers captain Moises Henriques hit a peculiar six off Sydney Thunder all-rounder Chris Morris after the match ended up in a super over.

After Sixers lost all-rounder Tom Curran on the first ball of the super over, Henriques scored 14 runs including a four and a six as his team put forward a 17-run target in front of the opposition.

On the penultimate delivery of the super over, Henriques pre-meditated to hit a ramp off Morris. However, his attempt saw him hitting the ball off the bottom of the bat for a six through the third-man region to amaze one and all.

Thunder batsman Alex Hales also hitting a six off Curran on the penultimate delivery of the match saw it taking another interesting turn. However, Curran’s fuller delivery was enough to prevent Hales from hitting another six.

Chasing a 150-run target, Henriques top-scored for his team with 41 (30) with the help of two fours. However, it was Curran’s 35 (17) with the help of five fours and a six which aided Sixers to draw the match. Having also registered bowling figures of 4-0-23-2 in the first innings, one can’t deny Curran being the hero for the winning team.
