“Someone who doesn’t remember his age how will he remember my records” Gautam Gambhir slams Shahid Afridi
“Someone who doesn’t remember his age how will he remember my records” Gambhir slams Shahid Afridi after latter made remarks on him.
Gautam Gambhir slams his long rival in cricket – Shahid Afridi on social media to counter the claim made by Afridi in his autobiography against Gambhir’s behaviour.
Someone who doesn’t remember his age how will he remember my records!OK @SAfridiOfficial let me remind u one: 2007 T20 WC final, Ind Vs Pak Gambhir 75 off 54 balls Vs Afridi 0 off 1 ball. Most imp: We won the Cup. And yes, I’ve attitude towards liars, traitors & opportunists. wrote Gambhir on twitter.

The war of words between the two has been existing for a long time and haven’t died out even though both have left the international stage since years.
Afridi had written that he used to enjoy playing against Gautam Gambhir and Shane Warne the most because of how they reacted to sledging. On Gambhir, he said, “(Gautam Gambhir) and his attitude problem. He, who has no personality.
“He, who is barely a character in the great scheme of cricket. He, who has no great records, just a lot of attitude. He, who behaves like he’s a cross between Don Bradman and James Bond.”
The quotes were picked up some publications due to the dearth of live-action amid the coronavirus lockdown and this resulted in Gambhir responding to Afridi on Twitter and a war of words ensued.
Afridi’s autobiography “The Game Changer” came in last year but this incident sparked after so long. Meanwhile, nobody can forget the glorious knock played by Gambhir in the T20I World Cup final match against Pakistan.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s superstar Afridi was sent to Pavillion on the duck as Irfan Pathan took his wicket to pressurize Pakistan further as they failed to chase the target.
