Sebastian Vettel: Mattia Binotto fears that Vettel will reveal his side of the story around his departure from Ferrari which was announced this month.
Sebastian Vettel’s departure may seem clean and something which was inevitable considering his alliance with Ferrari never worked on the level as it was expected.
But according to a report by a German newspaper Express, chief Mattia Binotto was concerned after the 4-time world champion was invited to the program ‘Talk im Hangar-7’, broadcasted by Servus TV, a Red Bull’s broadcaster.
Amidst all the stories going on around Vettel’s departure, which has only been disseminated by Ferrari so far, Binotto is afraid that Vettel might give a narrative which might be different to what Ferrari has said so far.
According to statements by the team and Vettel, it was previously clear that both sides saw no future in the collaboration. But several German sources say there is more to the story and that Vettel wants to open the game.
So far, Vettel has hardly been on the air ever since his departure from the team was announced. Moreover, he doesn’t have a social media presence, which makes it even tougher to listen to him.
As of now, Vettel is still a part of Ferrari until the end of the season and the Italian outfit can instruct him to not attend the TV show if they feel like doing so.
A controversy just before the start of the revised season can turn things unpleasant for the team. Vettel will next appear for Ferrari in the first week of July, when the season will kick off in Austria.

Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz has already been announced as the replacement for the German driver from the next season onwards, but there is no confirmation around Vettel’s future whereabouts.
