Unexpected title matches announced for Extreme Rules
Unexpected title matches announced for Extreme Rules. Not many saw these challengers entering the title picture heading into the next PPV.
With Backlash done and dusted, much of the focus of tonight’s show was the next event on the horizon; Extreme Rules. The WWE announced two huge matches for the upcoming pay per view. However, no one can say that they saw them coming.

Two unexpected title matches were announced for Extreme Rules in Drew McIntyre vs Dolph Ziggler and Asuka vs Sasha Banks. Ziggler made his presence known on Raw by interrupting McIntyre at the beginning of the show. He then issued a challenge and the WWE Champion promptly accepted.
IT’S OFFICIAL.

Elsewhere on the show, Asuka beat Charlotte to retain her Raw women’s championship. Women’s tag team champion Sasha Banks then confessed that she was jealous of her partner Bayley carrying two titles and wanted the same for herself.
“You are not the BOSS of me. I ACCEPT.”

A challenge was presented to Asuka and the Empress of tomorrow accepted.
Both the matches have come out of nowhere. It seemed that the McIntyre and Lashley feud would blow off with a stipulation match at Extreme Rules. With the Raw Women’s Championship, many believed either one of Nia Jax or Charlotte would take on Asuka. The two are instead involved in a program with each other now. No one saw the tag team champion who also is a SmackDown competitor be the challenger.
Edge issues warning to Randy Orton
Another major storyline in the show was Edge promising Randy Orton that he would take revenge for hurting Christian last week. However, with the Rated-R Superstar out with a torn ACL, it will be interesting to see how the WWE handles this story going forward.
More than just grit…the ANGER, the FIRE and the PASSION is on full display from @EdgeRatedR!
