Daniel Cormier bids adieu to his illustrious MMA career. The 41-year-old expressed gratitude and conveyed farewell to his fans over an Instagram post.
UFC 252 was already touted as the event where Daniel Cormier would hung up his gloves. DC was the part of the event’s main event, and with Stipe Miocic he wrote history as the duo culminated one of the most distinguished trilogies of all time. Daniel Cormier could not finish the final fight of his career with an ideal result, however it is widely known that the he has nothing left to achieve in the ring, and will go down perhaps as the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Daniel Cormier Expressed Gratitude Over Instagram
On Monday, August 17, Daniel Cormier took to Instagram to post a farewell message, where he first congratulated Stipe Miocic over retaining the heavyweight title at UFC 252, then he expressed love and admiration towards his fans, for always standing behind. In the same brief note he also named a few key persons of his life and thanked them. Above all he recognized and gave regards to UFC, the platform which bolstered his incredible journey in the combat circuit.
Daniel Cormier’s Message: Thank you all for the love and support. Not what I wanted or expected but it is what it is. Congrats to Stipe Miocic on a fantastic fight, was an honor and pleasure to share the octagon with you for 50 minutes. Boy did we give ‘em a show everytime. To my team, I love you all to death, you’ve made so many sacrifices. I hope I made you guys proud. Salina and the kids, thank you for being my motivation. To all the fans, I love you so much. You guys push me to try and be great. To Dana White and the UFC, I have loved every minute. Thank you for giving me the opportunity. Been a helluva ride, huh?
With this a great chapter comes to a close, however speculations will always remain rife about his comeback. But for now, he will first recuperate from the Torn Cornea he suffered at UFC 252, and then most probably will be seen as an analyst.
