UFC News: Anthony Johnson Eyes UFC Return
Former #1 Light Heavyweight contender Anthony Johnson is eyeing an in-ring comeback. Plans to first enter the mandatory drug testing program of UFC.
Anthony Johnson, who hasn’t stepped into the the Octagon since 2017, wants to make a comeback in 2020, and according to manager Ali Abdelaziz, Johnson is set to pass through the threshold of UFC’s mandatory drug testing program this week, with the main objective of re-entering the Light Heavyweight division.
Various sources have confirmed his intentions of re-entering the division.

Anthony Johnson’s UFC Record
Anthony Johnson last competed in 2017, at UFC 210 where he was on the losing end against Daniel Cormier. Since then, he has been away from the ring. The rumble Johnson has an impressive record of 22-6 to his name, and has won 5 performance of the night awards in his UFC career. Twice he has soared through the ranks, and became the No.1 contender for the Light Heavyweight championship, but each time lost via submission. Both the times it was Daniel Cormier who inflicted the loss.
Johnson is 36 now, and with a return in sight would again target an upward trajectory in the Light Heavyweight division.
