Charles Barkley roasts Paul George, says he wouldn’t call himself ‘Championship Chuck’ and perform like that

Charles Barkley got on Paul George’s back for lamentable performances in games 2 and 3 of the Clippers’ first round series. He ribbed ‘Playoff P’ for his disappearing acts.

Paul George finished with 4-of-17 shooting numbers from the field in the Clippers’ Game 2 loss. He scored only 14 points in that game. Playoff P’s game 3 was even worse as he could muster only a 3-of-16 shooting night to finish with 11 points. George did add 7 assists and 9 rebounds on the night.

George’s combined shooting numbers from 3-point territory are 3-of-18 from both the games. The Clippers won Game 3 on the strength of good supporting performances from 6 players other than Kawhi. Leonard shot well on his way to a 36 point, 9 rebound, 8 assist outing, going 13-of-24 from the field.

Chuck calls out Playoff P, says he never called himself ‘Championship Chuck’

During TNT’s halftime show covering Game 3 of the Lakers vs Clippers series, Chuck pointed to George’s dismal shooting numbers over the past 6 quarters.

He hilariously went onto say that he doesn’t call himself ‘Championship Chuck’, as he hasn’t won even one NBA ring.

“They don’t call me Championship Chuck.”

Charles Barkley, or Chuck, as he’s affectionately known, is no less than Shaq when it comes to these moments. Chuck does not even need a segment to be his comedic self. He’s straight up savage when he wants to be, and he found an ideal bait to let out his frustrations about today.
