What role will John Cena play in The Suicide Squad? The 16-time WWE World Champion will feature in the new Suicide Squad movie, set to release next year.
John Cena has won almost everything he can inside a WWE ring. The Bonafede wrestling superstar is hoping to achieve the same in Hollywood. He has already made a mark with a few notable roles in movies such as The Wall, Ferdinand, Blockers and Bumblebee.

The 16-time WWE World Champion is more than ready to make more than a dent with his upcoming role in the Warner Bros movie ‘The Suicide Squad’. The 2nd instalment of the movie will feature an ensemble cast playing a variety of superheroes; One of whom will be played Cena this time.
What role will John Cena play in The Suicide Squad?
Director James Gunn debuted the trailer to his new Suicide Squad movie at the DC Comics’ FanDome, a virtual convention from DC Comics and Warner Bros. While not an official trailer, this is the first time that Gunn and Warner Bros. have announced the film’s new characters.
The trailed featured a new lineup of Anti-heroes. The trailer officially confirmed John Cena’s role as Peacemaker; a diplomat so committed to peace he uses force as a superhero to advance the cause. In the comics, Peacemaker believes the people he killed or those who died around him live inside his helmet and offer him advice.
This will be the first time this particular Superhero will make an appearance on the big screen. It will be interesting to see how John Cena portrays the character.
Apart from the Cena, the newer additions to this movie include Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Nathan Fillion as TDK, Pete Davidson as Blackguard and many more.
The Suicide Squad will hit theaters on August 6th, 2021.
