James Harden Fouled Out: Houston Rockets’ Point Guard fouls out in game 3 playoff loss
James Harden picked up his 6th foul in overtime as the Houston Rockets fell to a 119-107 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3.
The NBA’s 3-time scoring champion over the past 3 years has been on a tear this playoff season. He was single-handedly keeping the Rockets in the game, as they were suffering from a subpar shooting game as a team. Despite having 5 fouls to his name, Harden successfully defended the final possession of regulation time without fouling.
James Harden fouled out in overtime loss
The 2017-18 NBA MVP started off cold from range on the night, but he scored on all but one of his 2-point shots by halftime. Harden also had 3 fouls early in the 3rd quarter, but his foul situation did not become a problem for the team till late in the game.
The Thunder went on an 18-2 late-game run to take Game 3 119-107 over Rockets.

Harden picked up his sixth foul in the first minute of overtime. Danilo Gallinari took a jump shot, but missed. Lu Dort of the OKC Thunder, who’d been hounding Harden all night on defense, got the offensive board. As Dort went up for the rebound, Harden seemed to lose sight of his foul situation and went up to inadvertently commit a needless shooting foul.
The Rockets’ offense died once Harden went to the bench. With neither of Westbrook or Harden to conduct their offense, open 3-pointers came at a premium. They got outscored 15-3 in overtime to lose the game in this fashion.
