Tobias Harris injury report: Sixers star suffers eye laceration after scary head first fall
Tobias Harris suffered a head injury and required treatment in the 3rd quarter of Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. He recovered to return to the court.
In the 3rd quarter of Game 4 between Boston Celtics, Tobias Harris fell scarily down while battling for an offensive board. His fall, head-first onto the court, was immediately noticed by the baseline referee. He blew the whistle immediately, and medical staff from the Philadelphia 76ers team came onto the court.
Almost immediately after taking a close look at the forward, the physician raised his fist as a sign that the injury had caused trauma to Harris. Harris’s head was bleeding as he writhed in pain on the hardwood. A few minutes later, however, Harris was able to walk off the court with assistance.

Tobias Harris later returned to the court in the 4th quarter, but his effectiveness was clearly reduced in comparison to the first half. He finished with 20 points and 5 rebounds to his name. The Philadelphia 76ers lost the game 110-106, bowing out of the NBA playoffs with a sweep for the first time in 9 years.
Joel Embiid had another 30 point, 10 rebound outing. He silenced his critics by scoring 16 of his points in the 4th quarter, asserting himself on the game and getting to the line. But without adequate support from his best swingman, Embiid was unable to avoid what he considers an abomination on his resume – a sweep in the first round.
