The Undertaker hints at WWE return despite announcing his retirement in June. The Phenom last wrestled at this year’s wrestlemania.

There is perhaps no wrestler more iconic than the Undertaker. He has enamoured millions of fans in his legendary career and is rightfully held in high regard by many. As with all good things though, his time in the ring was bound to come to an end one day.

His Wrestlemania match against Roman Reigns was believed to be his swansong. However, he returned a year later and faced Cena at the show of shows. He wrestled a few more matches before fighting AJ Styles at Mania earlier this year.

The Deadman eventually announced his retirement from wrestling on ‘The Last Ride’ documentary which aired in June. However, about three months later, it seems he is now doing a U-turn on his statement and could return to action once again at the next Wrestlemania.

The last ride providing a glance at the Undertaker’s struggles of letting go. A man who lived and breathed wrestling, was trying so hard to come to grips with life beyond the only thing he knew. By the end however, he accepted that his time was up and seemed content about it.

During an appearance on the My Mom’s Basement podcast, however, The Undertaker alluded to the possibility of a return.

“It was in my thought process,” The Undertaker said. “I have a whole group of people who are like, ‘You can go out and do this, people will go crazy.’ On the inside, I’m thinking, ‘I don’t move the way I used to move, it’s a watered down version.’

“I also love this business so much and love performing. It’s almost like I needed somebody to put the bullet in there and stop. Once we started rolling with this, it was in the back of my mind, ‘I can get to a point where this will solidify it and I won’t have a choice.’

“Originally, that’s where I was at until I had to send the last 15 minutes to the chairman [Vince McMahon]. He didn’t like the ending at all. That’s where we put the line back in there, ‘Never say never.’ I’m coming to grips with it. Obviously, as we get close to [WrestleMania], I’ll have that internal feeling like I should be getting ready for something.”
