‘In the arena, they’d s**t their pants’: LeBron James subtly fires back at Colby Covington for ‘coward’ statement
LeBron James has always been outspoken about the social issues and does not like being called otherwise
Colby Covington had quite a few things to say after he won the UFC title. A few of those were for NBA Superstar LeBron James. Covington called LBJ a ‘spineless coward’.
Covington beat Tyron Woodley UFC Fight Night main event on Saturday. Colby dedicated his win to the frontline workers who are working tirelessly amid the pandemic. He also took a shot at ‘woke athletes’ like LeBron James.
Covington: I want to dedicate this fight to all the first responders, all the military out there. This world would not be safe without you guys, you keep us safe, and not these woke athletes. I’m sick of these spineless cowards like LeBron James #UFCVegas11

LeBron James fires back at Covington
LeBron James waited for over a day to respond to Covington’s comments. Following the Lakers’ Game 2 win over the Nuggets on Sunday, James finally responded.
He called out all of his critics for never being able to do what he does on the court and just put out stray statement to undermine his legacy on and off the court.
The statement of his was a generic one, but seems to be a subtle dig at Covington for his ‘spineless coward’ comment.

Colby Covington, who thanked Donald Trump in his speech clearly showed why he would say this stuff about LeBron James. LBJ has always been vocal about Trump’s policies and how the injustice during Trump’s administration has gone up.
LeBron is an active voice against social injustices, mocked tirelessly for the same
James has always been an advocate for social equality and human rights, but people somehow always find ways to mock him about the same.

LeBron has always stood against what’s wrong and is always looking to contribute to the betterment of society. One big example of the same is his I Promise School in Akron.
The superstar has also been inaugural in the foundation of “More Than a Vote,” a group dedicated to mobilizing African American voters and fighting voter suppression.
