Hardik Pandya out today vs KKR: Watch Mumbai Indians all-rounder dismissed in peculiar manner by Andre Russell
Hardik Pandya out today vs KKR: The all-rounder from Mumbai Indians returned to the pavilion after getting out in a strange manner.
During the fifth match of the ongoing 13th season of the Indian Premier League between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya was seen getting out in a peculiar manner.
Coming in to bat at No. 5 in the 16th over, Pandya batted well to score 18 (13) with the help of two fours and a six. Smashing Kolkata Knight Riders spearhead Pat Cummins for a four and a six remained the highlight of Pandya’s brief stay.
It was on the third delivery of the penultimate over when Pandya was dismissed by Kolkata all-rounder Andre Russell. Batting deep inside the crease to counter Russell’s yorker, Pandya’s decision to leave the ball outside ther off-stump saw him hitting his off-stump with his bat to put a halt to his innings.
Earlier, it was KKR captain Dinesh Karthik who won the toss and elected to field. Despite losing opening batsman Quinton de Kock (1) in the second over, MI scored a formidable 195/5 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
Sharma shared a 90-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Suryakumar Yadav (47) to lay a solid foundation for the others. Before getting out in the 18th over, Sharma ended up scoring 80 (54) with the help of three fours and six sixes.
With bowling figures of 4-1-32-2, Knight Riders fast bowler Shivam Mavi was the pick of their bowlers. Other than Mavi, Rusell and Sunil Narine also picked a wicket each.

How Twitterati reacted:
18 overs of batting in 40 degrees heat and a score of 80 of 50 balls. If he was unfit as was being claimed he wouldn’t survive 10 overs! It is just unfortunate why and how people react! @ImRo45 shots for six can be watched over and over again.

Mumbai will be disappointed couldn’t top 200. Weak finish to an otherwise powerful batting performance. Gives KKR some incentive they can chase down 195 on this flat track
