“Lots of things to keep the racing exciting”- Lewis Hamilton assuming what led to his alleged unfair penalty
“Lots of things to keep the racing exciting”- Lewis Hamilton assumes what allegedly led to his points penalty in Russia.
After the race, Lewis Hamilton fired words against FIA stewards as he allegedly received an unfair points penalty which was later retracted by the association.
Now, Hamilton has further attacked the FIA and accused that he is being penalized to make the racing even more interesting.
“I don’t necessarily think that it’s for me,” Hamilton said. “I think probably most teams, whenever a team is at the front, obviously they are doing a lot of scrutinies.
“Everything we have on our car is being checked and double-checked and triple-checked. They are changing rules, such as the engine regs, lots of lots of things to get in the way to keep the racing exciting, I assume.
“I don’t know if the rules, in terms of what happened today, was anything to do with it but naturally that’s how it feels. It feels like we’re fighting uphill, but it’s OK. It’s not like I haven’t faced adversity before.
“So we just keep our heads down and keep fighting and keep trying to do a better job and be cleaner and squeaky clean, as I said before.”
Mercedes’ dominance drawing them out of Formula 1
Mercedes is on the verge of conquering yet another championship this season, with second on the table team Red Bull nowhere near to them in the title challenge.
It has been rumoured that Mercedes is set to withdraw its participation from Formula 1 soon with the German team already so successful in the sport that many claim they don’t have much left to achieve in the sport.
Moreover, the team principal Toto Wolff reportedly has his own business interests in next season’s Aston Martin, making him take an exit from the team.
