“35 year old LeBron James would dominate 27 year old LeBron”: Lakers’ Finals MVP on who would win in a 1-on-1
LeBron James says that his current self would completely dominate his past, 28 year old self in a 1 on 1 situation.
Lebron James has just captured one of, if not the most historic championships in NBA history as the Los Angeles Lakers triumph over the Miami Heat in Game 6, 106-93.
This title win cements LeBron’s place in the upper echelon of NBA greats as he is now a part of a club that has only 2 members. James is now only the 2nd player in NBA history to capture atleast 4 titles, 4 MVPs, and 4 Finals MVPS in their career. The other is Michael Jordan.
With the 2020 title run in the Bubble commencing its last chapter, LeBron James was asked a peculiar question on air.
Does LeBron believe his current self would beat 27 year old LeBron James
King James has just completed a 10th Finals run and with so many versions of LeBron entering the Finals each year, Scott Van Pelt felt the need to ask James, “Who would win: 35 year old LeBron or 27 year old LeBron?”
This prompted the 4x champion to say that this current version of himself would absolutely dominate the 27 year old LeBron James in any situation.

How do 27 year old LeBron and 35 year old LeBron matchup with one another
James did admit that he was much more athletic back in the 2011-12 season but stated that his IQ and understanding of the game is far more valuable than being able to jump slightly higher.
LeBron in the 2012 Finals averaged 28.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 7,4 assists while he averaged 29.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 8.5 assists in the 2020 Finals.
Safe to say that the King has not lost a beat since his 1st championship.
