XBOX Series X Backwards Compatibility : Here is all you need to know about the backwards compatibility of your new Xbox Series X!
XBOX Series X Backwards Compatibility : Microsoft has shown its commitment to its gaming community by setting up an impressive backwards compatibility scene. Here is all we know about it.
Next-Gen Console = Next-Level compatibility!
The new Xbox Series X will have 568 games from the Xbox 360 and only 39 games from the original Xbox library. However, gaming titles that made use of the Kinect motion sensor will not run on the Series X.
More than a 100,000 hours of play testing has been done on the new consoles. There are going to be thousands of games playable on the Series X from the get go. Developers claim that many of them use the Series X as their primary console.
They also claim that switching between generations has never been more seamless. It is said, by the time of launch, the Developers will have spent over 200,000 hours on the new consoles.
All older games will see a general boost in performance on the new console!
According to CNet, older games will apparently get a visual boost with the help of High Dynamic Range (HDR) graphics. Games that were made as far back as 20 years ago will also experience the HDR graphics boost.
According to Jason Ronald, Xbox Director of Program Management, all games will run far better on the new consoles as compared to their predecessors. Getting much higher frame rates will also be a new upgrade for all older games. Not to mention, all this boost in performance will be without the help of boost mode or downclocking.
Titles that used to run on 30 FPS will be upgraded to 60 FPS and 60 FPS titles to 120 FPS. Essentially, the native frame rate of quite a lot of titles will be doubled.
A significant reduction in load times will also be seen due to the massive performance boost caused by the new NVMe SSD.
With the release of the Xbox Series X, the Xbox 360 will become obsolete. This because any game you could play on the Xbox 360 will now be playable on the Xbox Series X!
