‘I enjoyed my time in Boston’: Gordon Hayward’s wife Robyn blasts Celtics media for negative coverage
Robyn Hayward has never pulled any punches. She blasted Boston sports media for making it seem like the Hayward family didn’t like the city.
Robyn’s husband Gordon signed one of the biggest deals of this offseason so far, netting $120 million over 4 years from the Charlotte Hornets. Many had lambasted Hayward for turning down his player option worth $34 million this season with the Celtics.
But Hayward definitely had a good contract offer up his sleeve to so nonchalantly turn down a life-changing amount of money. As it turns out, the Hornets bit on the promise he showed last season with the Celtics.

Robyn Hayward blasts Boston sports media for needlessly accosting her family
On an Instagram story, Robyn poured her heart out on the Hayward move. She thanked the city and its police force for being good to her and the Hayward family. She also rebuked Boston sports media for making it seem otherwise.
“Contrary to the media in Boston I have really enjoyed my time there and the relationships I’ve made. I’m going to miss the community I lived in from the local police officers checking in on me everyday, and the wonderful friends I made at Roche brothers who were always ready to chat when I was lonely, my wonderful neighbors, and of course my friends at the cheese shop.”
Flawless Wellesley vibes:
– naming two of the most expensive places to buy groceries on earth
– calling the employees your friends because you talk to them too long at the register

Hayward is slated to be the Hornets’ key to the playoffs. Losing Kemba Walker to the Celtics was a big blow to their aspirations, but with LaMelo Ball on the team now, they look spooky enough to make some noise in the regular season.
