‘Kevin Durant will win MVP’: Andre Iguodala explains why former Warriors star will make strong comeback
Kevin Durant’s former teammate Andre Iguodala believes he would win the MVP trophy in the upcoming season.
The 2020-21 season is nearly here. Just 22 days till the NBA returns. With the season being just around the corner, people have started making their predictions. There have been predictions for the dark horses, title contenders, MVP candidates, and power ratings.

Miami Heat vet Andre Iguodala was recently on the “The Match: Champions for Change” broadcast. There he sat and talked about quite a few things. He also went on to make his predictions for the abovementioned list. He expects his former teammates Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant to have big seasons, and for one of them to win MVP.

Andre Iguodala and Kevin Durant were teammates for 3 years, where they went to the Finals in all 3 of those years. They won two rings together and know each other well. Andre believes his former teammate would bounce back very well from the Achilles tear Durant suffered in Game 5 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

Right before the injury, KD was playing some of the best basketball of his career. He was averaging 34.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists through the first 11 games of the 2019 playoffs.
The 2x Finals MVP would be 32 when the 2020-21 season starts, and a lot of people have doubts whether he would be the same when he does. Iguodala has no doubts regarding the same. He believes Durant would be the same dominant force that he had been for the first 12 years of his career.
Andre Iguodala, who plays the veteran role on the Heat would also be looking forward to having a good year. The Heat got outplayed by LeBron James and the Lakers in NBA Finals and would be looking to come back stronger.
