Kevin Holland Makes it 5-0 in 2020; Knocks Out Ronaldo Souza at UFC 256
Kevin Holland defeats Ronaldo Souza to become the fifth fighter in UFC history to secure 5 victories in a calendar year.
Kevin Holland, who was up against Ronaldo Souza at UFC 256 registered his name in the record books. The 28-year-old who wasn’t initially the part of the card and came in after swapping spots with Marvin Vettori, knocked out the opponent for the day just after 1-minute and 45 seconds in the fight.
He in-process has competed and won his 5th match in the calendar year. To be precise, in 7 months he has garnered 5 victories to his name. With this win, he only became the third active fighter and 5th overall to touch the 5-0 mark in a year (Others- Royce Gracia, Mark Coleman, Roger Huerta, Neil Magny)

Kevin Holland Vs. Ronaldo Souza: Match Summary
It was the 2nd match of the main card. The odds were in Souza’s favor but what ultimately transpired showcased that odds do not matter in the Octagon.
Kevin Holland made an ever carefree entrance. He was dancing to the rhythm of his entrance music but, later on, turned all intense after the match started.

From the outset, both the individuals looked to gain authority over each other and it was Souza who grabbed the leg of the Trailblazer and was on top of him. Tagged as aloud mouth by UFC president Dana White, Kevin Holland was seemingly uttering words throughout the fight, and that apparently turned out to be the deciding factor as well.
As Souza was in a controlling position, he engaged in a brief interaction with Holland, who was on the ground but improvised and caught the Brazilian with a big right and got the finish.

After the match, he called out Khamzat Chimaev for the next week’s UFC Vegas 17.
