‘LeBron James, when are you taking the Covid-19 vaccine shot?’: American surgeon highlights Lakers star’s plan of action
Take the shot LeBron : The US Surgeon General wants LeBron James to “lead by example” and take the COVID-19 vaccine shot.
The single most important aspect of 2020 that has shaped everyone’s lives this year would be the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. So much so that the NBA isn’t allowing fans to entire their home arenas for the first few months of the 2020-21 NBA season.
There is a silver lining though, as the first batch of vaccines is being rolled out at this very moment to the American public. There is however, a great deal of scepticism surrounding the vaccines. A large chunk of the public believes the vaccine will do more harm than good.
A recent survey revealed that 39% of African Americans would be open to taking the vaccine if they saw Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James take the vaccine on camera.
The US General Surgeon wants LeBron James to take the vaccine so the public may follow suit.
US Surgeon General Jerome Adams took to KTLA to lobby for LeBron James to take the COVID-19 vaccine. He said, “LeBron James, I know you’re a big supporter of masks. I want to know when you are going to take the COVID shot.”
“Because I did it and know it’s safe. That’s how we promote confidence. We want people to lead by example.” Adams then urged LeBron James to take the vaccine as soon as possible.
“Take the shot LeBron,” said Jerome Adams.

Adams believes seeing world renowned celebrities taking the vaccine would help destigmatize the hubbub that is surrounding the vaccine.
Should LeBron James take the COVID vaccine on camera?
Important figures in the United States have already done so. US President Elect Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, and many more have taken the vaccine and documented it.
At the end of the day, LeBron James’ main focus is basketball. He shouldn’t be forced into doing something so different from what he is accustomed to.
However, James taking the vaccine would really help in combating the pandemic; the ‘King’ should consider it as a viable option. After all, he was very big on following the proper COVID precautions.
