‘Paul George threw a dime to Casper’: NBA Twitter trolls Clippers star for Shaqtin a Fool pass in season opener against Lakers
Paul George still seems a little rough from the edges, judging from his errant no-look, no-target pass in transition against the Lakers.
The Clippers star recently signed a 5-year max extension with the Clippers. This contract could keep him in LA till the twilight of his career at a salary that only the best players deserve.
George has been the subject of some of the worst internet bullying done on any NBA player ever. The way he underperformed in the playoffs last season was there for all to see. People expected a lot better from a guy who was brought in to be a viable second star to Kawhi Leonard.
It’s been a while since George last took the court for a competitive basketball game. Nearly 100 days, as a matter of fact. It’s a bit understandable that he’s not at his best yet, physically or mentally.
Paul George throws a pass to nobody in particular on the break against the Lakers
The Lakers turned the ball over in horrendous fashion at the start of the play in question. The Clippers made sure the ball ended up in PG’s hands, for he was their best player on the floor at the time.
George contrived to somehow assume that he had a trailing teammate running to the right corner on the break. He attempted a no-look pass that was so far away from any player on the court that we have to troll him for it.

this isn’t Paul George’s fault, the ref should have his hands up ready to shoot. pic.twitter.com/e9W9kgKRBl

This errant play helped the Lakers come back from a big deficit of 22 points to cut it to only 11 halfway through the second period. This kind of play messes up the momentum of practically any team.
