“I would rather watch Russell Westbrook than John Wall”: Skip Bayless takes shots at Rockets star, praises Brody’s triple-double

Skip Bayless says that he would rather watch Russell Westbrook play on the Wizards instead of John Wall.

Each offseason, there is a ‘blockbuster’ trade that goes down that turns heads all around the NBA world. Last year it was arguably the Paul George trade to the Clippers, in exchange for a boatload of draft picks and Shai.

This offseason, Russell Westbrook was traded to the Washington Wizards, with John Wall being sent to H-Town. Both John Wall and Russell Westbrook have immediately tried to become acclimated to their new environments.

John Wall has had impressive performances during the preseason, and looks like he hasn’t really lost a step. On the other hand, Russell Westbrook has been seen taking over Wizards practices and leading the team by example.

With both stars thriving in their new cities, Skip Bayless gives his opinion on the situation Washington.

Skip Bayless is enamoured by the Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal pairing.

Russell Westbrook made his Washington Wizards debut in last night’s season opener. Westbrook wasted no time getting to know his teammates on the court as he posted up a triple double yet again.

However, the Wizards couldn’t pull off the win against the Sixers, losing 113-107. Following the Wizards loss, Skip Bayless dished on what he thought of the Wizards’ first game back.

He took to Twitter to say, “Congratulations Wizards fans because I would much rather watch Russ get a triple-double every night than John Wall.”

Bayless was also lobbying for the Wizards to get into the play-in tournament.

Can the Wizards be a playoff team in the East?

The Wizards are definitely one of those teams that have the potential for a massive upset in the first round of the Playoffs.

Westbrook seems to be enjoying his role as second fiddle to Bradley Beal. Both stars can combine for essentially 55-65 points a night.

Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans are bigs that can respectfully space the floor. The latter has especially been lethal from downtown, shooting 43% from beyond the arc last season.

The Wizards have the personnel to make a run for a bottom 4 seed in the East.
