Matt Renshaw vs Kane Richardson: The two players were seen in an aggressive conversation with each other at the Adelaide Oval.

During the 29th match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers in Adelaide, Adelaide Strikers batsman Matthew Renshaw and Melbourne Renegades pacer Kane Richardson were involved in a verbal spat following the latter’s dismissal.

It all happened on the first delivery of the 18th over when Richardson hit a Peter Siddle delivery towards Renshaw at sweeper cover. With Renshaw completing a straightforward catch, what followed weren’t very pleasant scenes.

In what started with Siddle directing Richardson to walk back to the pavilion, it soon transformed into Renshaw emulating Siddle in showing Richardson the way.

Despite getting out cheaply, Richardson was in for a spat as he was seen aggressively interacting with the opposition players before reaching the dugout.

Chasing a 172-run target, Renegades got bundled out for 111 in 19.1 over to register a 60-run loss. Having lost seven out of their eight matches this season, Renegades are reeling at the bottom of the points table.

With bowling figures of 3.1-0-16-3, Siddle was the pick of the bowlers for Strikers. Much like Siddle, pacer Wes Agar also contributed significantly in Strikers’ fourth BBL 10 victory with bowling figures of 4-0-23-3.
