Drew McIntyre addresses WWE fans after testing positive for Covid-19. The WWE Champion clarified that he has no symptoms of the disease.
Drew McIntyre has tested positive for Covid-19. The WWE confirmed the news a while before the show and announced that he would address the fans on the show tonight. The WWE Champion made a short video and gave the good news that he was one of the lucky ones with no symptoms

He did urge the fans to practice caution however. If it could happen to him, it could happen to anyone he said, The WWE Champion encouraged the fans to wear their mask and observe social distance in order to protect “everyone and their loved ones”.

“I wish I could have been there with you all tonight in the WWE ThunderDome but unfortunately, as I’m sure you’ve heard already, I’ve tested positive for COVID-19,” McIntyre said. “Now, I’m one of the fortunate ones with no symptoms but I assure you COVID should not be taken lightly.
“Don’t think you can’t catch it, because you can. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anybody and the only way we’re going to be able to stop this thing is by working together. So please wear your mask and follow social distancing guidelines. It’s not just to protect you, it’s to protect everyone and their loved ones. I’ll see you all really, really soon. But until then, stay safe.”

McIntyre is currently in the middle of a feud with Goldberg. Interestingly, there was no mention of their scheduled match at Royal Rumble. More amazingly though, it is heartwarming to see the WWE have their main champion give a speech like this after going to lengths to avoid mentioning the disease on television for the entirety of 2020.
