Hogwarts Legacy Release Date : The release of Hogwarts Legacy, one of most anticipated games of 2021, has been delayed to 2021. Read more to find out why, and all the latest details.

Creating an entire wizarding world themed game is a tougher task than most perceive.  This is exactly what has happened with Hogwarts Legacy. Last night, Warner Bros put out a tweet saying that the open-world, action roleplaying game will be releasing only in 2022.

This news is sure to make hardcore fans crestfallen. The game, currently under development by Avalanche games was first officially first shown to public in a PlayStation 5 event this year. Portkey Game, a subsidiary of Warner Bros, also involved is overseeing its development.

This is the official summary of the game which is available online: Experience a new story set at Hogwarts in the 1800s. Your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart. Make allies, battle Dark wizards and decide the fate of the wizarding world.

Why is Hogwarts legacy delayed?

There is no tentative date for the game’s release in 2022 as of now. We do not know whether it will come out during the early months. But, it is understandable. A dynamic & immersive gameplay does require a lot of groundwork and development.

Another reason for the delay could be the developers are learning from what happened with Cyberpunk 2077, and its accelerated release. Just to be on the safer side, Warner Bros is ensuring Hogwarts Legacy does not make the same mistakes. They are taking their time and doing it right.

However, every cloud has a silver lining. With some more time on their plate, the developers will surely make the game without bugs or glitches. When it does release, Hogwarts legacy will be available across a range of platforms, including PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
