“I’m coming back with a vengeance”: Clippers star Paul George reveals that he’s out to prove himself this 2020-21 NBA season
Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George says he wants to address all the hate he’s received and is “coming back with a vengeance”.
Following the Los Angeles Clippers’ historic collapse in the 2020 NBA Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets, Paul George had become the pseudo-scapegoat for his team’s misfortunes.
Everything ranging from George hitting the side of the backboard in crunch time to him scoring merely 5 points in a Game 7 was used against the 6’8 swingman to poke fun at him.
Now tired of the ‘Wayoff P’ chatter, George has decided to enact his own version of a revenge tour. George has kicked his game up a notch ever since the start of the 2020-21 NBA season.
Paul George wants everyone to know this season of his is a vengeance tour
Paul George let everyone know at the start of this season that he’s back with his trainer from 2018-19. It seems as though this reunion has paid off. Paul George has been on fire for the majority of the season. He’s currently the Clippers’ leading scorer at 25.3 points. Clippers are the 2nd seed out West with a 9-4 record.
When asked about his season, Paul George didn’t hesitate in letting everyone know what his intentions were going into this 2020-21 campaign. He said, “I’m coming back with a vengeance. I didn’t like fact that people saw weakness. I had to address that.”

PG-13 is the only player in the league averaging 25/5/5 on 50/50/90 splits. Though it is a small sample size of games, it should be noted that he’s the sole member of this club.
