Jake Weatherald catch today: Watch Strikers batsman grabs fantastic diving catch to dismiss Alex Ross in BBL 10
Jake Weatherald catch: The batsman from Adelaide Strikers grabbed an exceptional catch to pick a crucial wicket.
During the 51st match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Sydney Thunder and Adelaide Strikers in Adelaide, Adelaide Strikers batsman Jake Weatherald put on display an acrobatic fielding effort to dismiss Sydney Thunder batsman Alex Ross.
It all happened on the fourth delivery of the 17th over when Ross’ attempt of cutting a Peter Siddle delivery over the backward point fielder led to his dismissal.
Having timed the ball well, Ross became victim of an exceptional fielding effort at backward point. Timing his dive to perfection, Weatherald grabbed a fantastic one-handed stunner to send back the visiting batsman.

Batting at No. 6 after being included as an X-factor player, Ross scoring 18 (18) was one of the reasons why Thunder faltered in a 160-run chase at the Adelaide Oval.
A below par batting performance witnessed Thunder scoring 153/7 in 20 overs in a match which they should’ve won given how well their bowlers had bowled in the first innings.
With bowling figures of 3-0-17-2, Strikers fast bowler Michael Neser was the pick of their bowlers. While Siddle also picked a couple of wickets, the likes of Travis Head and Liam O’Connor picked a wicket apiece to dent the opposition.
