“It’s not going to be a comedy show”- Daniel Ricciardo refuses the idea of him and Lando Norris being the comedy couple of Formula 1.

Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris famous for the humour they inject into otherwise rushed and intense Formula 1 was seen as the ideal partnership in comedy.

However, Ricciardo not agreeing with has said that he is not going to lose focus for the sake of making people laugh. Instead, he wants to focus on the business side of his work. “It’s not going to be a comedy show,” said Ricciardo to the SkySports.com.

“I’m going there for business, I’m going there to improve the car, My personality won’t change so I think I do enjoy doing what I do… but I’m certainly not going there to be this meme power couple or whatever it’s described as these days!” he said.

In 2020 there have been moments when Norris and Ricciardo were involved in funny moments, especially during the post-race interviews; thus, it has to come unconsciously and not deliberately.

On talking about his time at Renault, Ricciardo claims that he feels his time at the French outfit is over, and he opines that he has fulfilled his duty over there.

I can honestly leave here feeling fulfilled,” Ricciardo said. “I think importantly for myself feeling like I contributed something back into this team. Really it was the podiums, and to see the joy not only on my face but also on the team’s face. It had been so long.”
