“Alex Caruso tipped that Jump Ball”: Skip Bayless berates the referees for a missed call while helping the Lakers force an OT
Skip Bayless, host of the Undefeated, did not like how Alex Caruso forced a jump ball, and then stole it with no call from the referees
The Los Angeles Lakers continue their woes, as they now have three straight losses in a row. After losing to the Nets, they lost a one-possession game to the Heat on Saturday. They thought they would end their skid tonight, but the Wizards had other plans.
Despite being up by 17 points at a time, the Lakers blew that lead and then trailed the Wizards by 8 in the 4th quarter. LeBron James led the Lakers with 31 points, 13 assists, and 9 rebounds.
KCP added 21 points, and Montrezl Harrell provided 26 points and 9 rebounds from the bench. For the Wizards, Russell Westbrook scored 32 points, dished 9 assists, and grabbed 14 rebounds. Bradley Beal led the way with his 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Skip Bayless berates the referees for a missed call on Alex Caruso jump ball
The Los Angeles Lakers forced overtime on a game where they were down 8 points in the final minutes. Alex Caruso was one of the main reasons for the same. In the final minutes, Caruso grabbed the ball after Deni Avdija had secured a defensive rebound. This call led to a jump ball being called. Caruso won the jump ball, leading to an extra Lakers possession, which helped them close the gap.
However, when inspected closely, it can be seen that Caruso touched the ball before it went to its peak height, hence it being a foul call. The referees did not notice the same, and let the Lakers have the possession. Skip was not pleased with the same.
Caruso got away with stealing the tip. Hit the ball on the way up. Ref HAS TO CALL THAT. SAVED THE GAME FOR THE LAKERS.

As the game went to OT, the Wizards’ backcourt star guards led the way and scored all of the points in OT to secure the win for them. LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma both missed potential game-winners as well.
With the home games behind them, the Lakers would look to get back to winning ways on the road, against the Jazz.
