“My dad”- Mick Schumacher names his father Michael Schumacher when F1’s official Instagram handle asked, “My childhood F1 hero was?”
Mick Schumacher created a wholesome moment for fans on social media when he named his father after F1’s official social media Instagram account asked fans which F1 driver holds a special place in their hearts.

The junior Schumacher soon responded with “My dad”, creating a buzz online, with fans totally agreeing with him over it, as there are innumerable admirers of Michael till now.

Schumacher’s father has been away from the public eye since 2013, when he met with a skiing accident, giving a fatal brain injury. Now, eight years later, his son Mick is going to make entry to F1 with Haas.
Always aimed to be in F1.
While Mick is reminiscing the past where his father was an untouchable F1 racer with Ferrari, winning five world championships in a row to mark his name as arguably the greatest F1 driver all time.
The German talked about his youth days when he started aspiring to be an F1 driver and continue the legacy left behind by his father and uncle Ralph Schumacher.
“I was sitting in front of the TV. I can’t say which Grand Prix I was looking at, but detail remains in my memory: I wanted to compete too,” told Mick.
“I’ve always thought about it. I started to believe it after the success in F3. In F2, I had problems at the beginning, but last year I won, and here I am.”
With Mick making his F1 debut, Michael would definitely be excited about his kid taking over the baton, as last year it was revealed that he was following Mick during his F2 winning campaign.
