“When It Comes Out, All This Does Is Build His Legend Even Greater”: Tom Brady Knee Was Badly Injured During Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl 55 Run
Tom Brady is a certified NFL legend. However, Brady had a lot more going than we might have thought, at least in terms of injuries.
Earlier this offseason, it was reported that Brady was going to go through a knee surgery. However, at the time it seemed like the procedure was only going to be a “minor” one and that it was only a “clean-up” procedure.
Now, the narrative is completely different as head coach Bruce Arians said that Brady can be expected to miss “at least four months” as he recovers from the surgery. Clearly, there’s a lot more going on than we thought:

What Happened To Tom Brady & His Knee?
Tom Brady only needed a minor surgery, but since his recovery timeline is so long, it opens up questions as to how severe his injuries were. Brady was also seen wearing a knee brace during the Buccaneers Super Bowl celebration
As of right now, there are no conclusive reports about what exactly happened to Brady’s knee, but the fact that he may need till June to recover indicates enough. The knee is the same one he injured back in 2008 against the Kansas City Chiefs. That torn ACL took him out for the entirety of the season.
We may never know how Brady’s knee injured or how extensive the damage actually was, but this clearly shows that Brady is one of the most durable and toughest players in the league.
Brady is 43 years old, and the fact that he was still able to play through an injury all throughout the playoffs and the Super Bowl is a testament to his dedication to the game.
Brady’s surgery may also help explain a cryptic tweet he sent out:
Soooo what am I supposed to do for the next 5 months…?
