“Candace Parker made Shaquille O’Neal look dumb”: NBA Fans are annoyed by Lakers legend’s ‘casual’ approach to his job as Inside the NBA analyst
Shaquille O’Neal’s ignorant ‘analysis’ has continued to infuriate fans of the NBA. Candace Parker took his case last night.
Shaquille O’Neal is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to ever grace the court. His agility and dexterity at 7 feet was truly what made him one of the most unguardable players of his era.
With that being said though, the former MVP and NBA champion has given some of the most vindictive and controversial ‘analysis’ the NBA community has ever seen. And while this is nothing new, fans have taken notice of it a lot more this season.
On a recent episode of ‘Inside the NBA’ Shaq questioned the defensive switching in the league today. When his fellow hosts tried to answer that excessive switching is indeed required, all he did was refer to the rings he won.

His treatment of Jazz stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell this season is well documented to say the least. And who can forget his behavior towards JaVale McGee just a few years ago?
With that being said, let’s dive into why fans have been up in arms about Shaquille O’Neal for the last few weeks.
Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t even watch the current NBA according to fans
On a different episode, it was revealed that O’Neal didn’t even know the first name of Siakam was Pascal. Shaq genuinely thought that ‘Pascal’ and ‘Siakam’ were two different players. What’s worse is, the topic of discussion, was the Toronto Raptors specifically, which means no other teams were in the conversation.
The Toronto Raptors’ star is one of the better know players in the NBA right now. Not knowing his first name at all just goes on to show how ignorant the ‘analyst’ really is.
But what has really affected the perception of Shaquille O’Neal in the NBA community, is his treatment of current players. The four-time champion has become infamous for insulting current players. Most recently, his disrespectful comments towards previously mentioned Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell faced some serious criticism.

For Mitchell, Shaquille O’Neal insisted that the Jazz star just doesn’t have what it takes to be an NBA champion. This is despite the fact that the franchise is having its best season in a long time. And the 24-year-old is quite clearly their best player.
Still, Shaquille O’Neal has refused to acknowledge his mistakes, or even apologize. At this rate, it’s only a matter of time the NBA community is simply too sick and tired to pay attention to him in the future.
